NEWEST COOKIE

Black Sugar Swan Cookie

Welcome!

This is a shrine dedicated to the game Cookie Run:Ovenbreak created by the company DEVSISTERS. It is still a work in progress, please keep that in mind.

What is Cookie Run: Ovenbreak?

Cookie Run: Ovenbreak is an endless runner that features two buttons -jump and slide- to help you maneuver across many different maps. In these maps, there are many obstacles that you must avoid to sustain your base health as it steadily decreases in the duration of your run. There are things called 'jellies' which you must collect in order to reach a high score. The characters you run as are all cookies, and they all have unique skills which give more points and affect gameplay to add variety.

With such simple mechanics, the developers have made substantial progress in making this game stand out and fun to play. There are several game modes, with some being more competitive than others. There are trials in which you reach a high score with a certain cookie and pet, a trophy race -which is essentially pvp, team raids which focus on defeating a boss alongside other players, and many more! They have also added a variety of powerful characters with charming designs; this was the main reason I started playing.

What is it about?

Our story begins with a cookie named GingerBrave, who's bravery was the catalyst into causing him to run away from these witches trying to eat him and the rest of the cookies on his tray. In his journey out of the witches' kitchen, he assembles a group of friends named GingerBright, Strawberry Cookie, and Skater Cookie. They all successfully escape and meet other cookies from across their world, helping with whatever troubles may arise.

Why do I love this?

This game has been with me for the longest time (since ~mid 2017). I've learned about it from a YouTube channel that was -at the time- named S T A R B O Y. They created animation memes, and one of these featured Matcha Cookie . I immediately fell in love with the design and decided to give the game a chance. It was ADDICTING. I spent day and night playing this game both in and out of school, taking the time to experience all the features it had to offer. I loved it so much that it was technically the first fandom I've participated heavily in. I drew lots of fanart that I'm too embarrased to show, talked about it to my irl friends, and it had eventually pushed me to join online communities. The most notable being *Cookie Run* Amino. So much has happened there that I will not disclose because it is personal, but it gave me a new community of friends that I have clicked with and stayed strong with for almost 8 years now!! I am eternally grateful for this game being the catalyst to creating a close bond with people across the world. I am 18 at the time of writing this, and this game is still always in my back pocket. I still play it consistently enough to call myself a fan of it and have dedicated so much time into growing my collection in-game to be something massive.
